Slightly add hugh and sat to the peculiarity to change color while being careful to avoid changing the lightness and darkness of the color its self.
The color is set to ""carbon black"" hex, so it is the right color. yes carbon fiber i have seen has a slight yellowish tint and that is present in the carbon black color.
the texture IS TO SCALE. The bump map represents a 1X1" section. instead of changing the bump maps scale, or depth, change the size of the UVMap in the uv image editor. this will keep the image texture to scale and in my experience make judging how big it needs to be much easier because you can more easily judge how big 1" is on your object than guessing how many square inches your object is.
